Highland cows
Available Cattle
We do not currently have any calves available. However, we are actively working toward expanding our herd and beginning our breeding program. We’re excited to start the process with our registered miniature Highland bull, Bradley, with Cooper joining the program once he is old enough.
Our first HighBelts are expected late 2026 to early 2027. Stay tuned for updates as we grow — we can’t wait to share what’s ahead.
Meet Our Herd
The Bulls
Brad
Bradly of Ridge & Valley Appalachian Farm (IMCBR #30672) is our registered Miniature Highland bull and a cornerstone of our breeding program. He is UC Davis DNA color tested ED/e (Dominant Black, carrier of recessive red) with no dilution (N/N) and is confirmed non-chondro. Brad is projected to mature around 39” and was carefully selected for his gentle temperament, strong structure, and signature Highland coat—often admired for its fullness and texture. His calm, easygoing personality makes him a pleasure to work with and truly impossible not to fall in love with. Brad’s genetics will play a key role in the intentional development of our herd, and in the future, he will also be the source of semen straws offered through our breeding program.
Cooper
Cooper is our Highpark bull calf. He is UC Davis tested Chondro Positive and carries a minor crop ear. His dam measured 40” and his sire measured 40.5”, reinforcing strong miniature genetics on both sides. Cooper will play an important role in developing compact, structurally correct calves within our program. He is a total cutie, and we look forward to adding him to our breeding program in the future.
Magnus And The Ladies
Magnus
Magnus is our midsize Highland steer and proud farm mascot, best known for his dog-like personality and the pure joy he brings to everyone who meets him. He is friendly, curious, and deeply people-oriented, making him a favorite during farm visits and events. Magnus is always ready to greet guests and soak up attention. While he isn’t part of our breeding program, he plays an important role in creating the welcoming, memorable experiences we strive to offer on the farm.
Scarlett
Scarlett is our miniature Belted Galloway heifer and a beautiful addition to our herd. We added her intentionally to pair with Bradley, with the goal of producing eye-catching mini High Belt calves to offer in our program. She brings femininity, structure, and the hardy, efficient traits Belted Galloways are known for, and we’re excited to see what she and Brad produce together.
Coming Soon
Coming Soon
We are constantly expanding our herd and thoughtfully searching for the perfect heifers to grow our breeding program. At Prim Meadows Farm, we are intentional about every breed and every addition we make. Our goal is to maintain high-quality livestock that are not only beautiful in miniature, but also exceptional in personality and genetics. We’re just getting started and have big plans ahead, and we’re so excited for everyone to follow along and grow with us on this journey.
Semen Straws
COMING SOON
We plan to offer semen straws from Brad in the future as part of our carefully built Miniature Highland breeding program. Brad embodies the calm temperament and strong characteristics we value, and we are committed to doing this the right way. More information will be shared as availability approaches.
